More about Phillip Malley of Gatehouse Estates

Phillip first joined Gatehouse Estates in 1994 after studying at Hinchingbrooke School in Huntingdon. He soon became established as a successful and reliable member of the team and was quickly promoted to look after the Huntingdon area and later the Godmanchester, Kimbolton and Country Home markets.

Phillip has lived in Godmanchester for more than a decade; he is a member of The Exhibition Golf Society and The Godmanchester Badminton League and loves the runs and walks along the river and over Portholme.

Phillip takes a far less stereotypical approach to Estate Agency and it was this style that lead to him assisting in the rapid growth of Gatehouse International in 1999. Phillip based himself in Portugal for a time to help develop business relationships with numerous clients that we still deal with today.

This short stint overseas probably gave Phillip the travel bug, but it wasn’t until after he’d married Lucy at Godmanchester Church in 2006 that they started to plan their travels. They made the decision to go when the Banking Crisis started to affect the housing market in 2008 and took a year to go around the world. Since his return, Phillip has worked for the Yorkshire Building Society’s Repossession Team as an Asset Manager and took on a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro raising over £10,000 for charity.

Now Phillip is heading up Gatehouse Estates as they add to their existing Property Management business in Godmanchester and is looking forward showing there is a different style of Estate Agency you can choose.
