The group of ‘Gatehouse’ Companies started in 1988, with our first small UK Estate Agency office in a little known town of Kimbolton in Cambridgeshire.
We began business at the start of the last property recession but through application and supply of a very personal service, our reputation grew as a business that was innovative and successful. We are still selling property today from our base in Godmanchester. Phillip Malley heads this area of business, a very experienced local Estate Agent with an individual approach.

When we purchased our Bedford office, we acquired a small rental property portfolio of just 35 properties. Since that moment, we have grown to an operation that manages around 500 rental properties in Kempston, Bedford, St Neots, Huntingdon and Godmanchester.

By the time we had opened our sixth office, we were approached by a client with a chateau to sell in France. Our approach had always been to innovate and we marketed the Chateau with great success, when much larger ‘International Estate Agents’ turned the business away. What followed was more requests from the Caribbean, Portugal and Spain for us to apply our marketing to those areas. With that, Gatehouse International was formed and now sells properties overseas in 13 countries.
Gatehouse International now has over 7000 properties for sale. As International estate agents,we offer new and resale villas, townhouses, apartments, brand new developments as well as plots and ruins. Gatehouse International has offices in Europe including the UK and Portugal.
